Based in our London studio and reporting to Partner, you will act as project leader on a variety of projects, making decisions, providing heritage advice, advocacy and guidance. Your focus will be providing bespoke and high-quality advice, with outputs including conservation management plans, significance and capacity analysis, and heritage impact assessments.
A key element of the role will be to help expand our project portfolio in the south east, requiring experience in business development, bid preparation, networking and drawing upon existing contacts in the region. There is an expectation that you would over time take on management of other team members in your region, managing resource, financial profitability, reviewing work.
Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years Experience leading and contributing to the design of major projects
- Passionate about historic buildings
- Equally at home leading the creative process or contributing to wider team
- Able to receive feedback positively even if different to own views or ideas
- Can design intuitively and at pace
- Can produce detailed drawings demonstrating a flair for design
- Equally fluent in contemporary and traditional design styles
- Good communication skills and can lead major presentations
- Experience developing others and can demonstrate an ability to build a team
- Thorough understanding of architectural history
